(Re:) EDUCATION   '...Prieto said he hopes Christie will offer funding solutions for the whole spectrum of education in New Jersey, from pre-k to higher education…Prieto said he'd also like to see more money for underfunded school districts. K-12 education is underfunded by more than $1 billion a year, and aid that can be used for classroom instruction is lower than it was a decade ago, when adjusted for inflation...'

Chris Christie’s budget proposals for dealing with state pension payments and the depleted Transportation Trust Fund, state Assemblywoman Mila Jasey (D-Essex and Morris) wants to take $110 million from the Property Tax Relief Fund and use that money to expand pre-K programs around the state…’
