Asbury Park Press - Will lawmakers deal with NJ's affordability woes?

 ‘…Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean Jr., R-Union, urged senators to “stop, stabilize and roll back the taxes that are driving generations of New Jerseyans to states with much lower tax burdens.” He said the Legislature needs to look at special education and the overall school-aid formula.

“New Jersey’s property taxes mostly pay for public schools, which are funded via a flawed, inefficient school funding formula. We must enact reforms to more equally fund per pupil allotments for education and allow hundreds of suburban communities to keep more of their tax dollars in their classrooms,” Kean said…’
