Commissioner Cerf letter note preference in charter school applications process 2012-2013 for highest needs students in districts designated as Priority and-or Focus Schools
GSCS FYI on NJ DOE Charter Schools Application Process 2012-2013 [Excerpt from Commissioner Cerf August 2012 letter re: application process for filing for October 2012.] "...We invite applicants and operators with knowledge and a track record to open schools in communities with highest level needs. While the application will be fair and consistent with the N.J.A.C. 6A: 11-2.1, the Department will give preference for applicants who choose to serve students in areas across the state that have been indentified as either Priority and/or Focus Schools and demonstrate a commitment to generating improved results for at-risk students..."
