GSCS QUICK FACTS from EMAILNET FYI 3-8-08
OUR EYES AND EARS ARE WORKING FOR YOU IN TRENTON . . . but for a while GSCS won’t be quite as “hands on” as usual while Executive Director Lynne Strickland recovers from surgery on a broken right wrist. Our website won’t be under construction, but Lynne will be, so Email nets and website updates won’t be quite as frequent. She can still use her cell phone, if you need to reach her. THE NEXT GSCS BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 3:30 p.m. at the East Brunswick Board of Education offices, 760 Route 18, East Brunswick. This meeting will replace both the canceled February 27 meeting and the previously scheduled March 26 meeting. GSCS is sorry for any inconvenience the changed date may present. As always, please RSVP your plans to attend at gscschools2000@gmail.com .

SUPERINTENDENTS ADDRESS ASSEMBLY EDUCATION COMMITTEE . . . Three GSCS member districts were among the nine invited to take part in the March 6 roundtable discussion with the Assembly Education Committee. The tone was positive and informative as the superintendents discussed how the funding formula impacted on their budget process this year, what kinds of choices and decisions the formula created, and what changes are needed.

Thank you to member districts Glen Ridge, Scotch Plains-Fanwood and new member Brick Township.
