12-9-08 A15-S1861 passed of of the Senate Education Comm yesterday wth a 3-2 vote
This bill changes the election process for school boards/see 12-8-08 just below.................Yes votes = Senator Turner [D], Senator Whelan [D], and Senator Allen [R]...............No votes = Senator Ruiz [D], and senator Bateman [R]. It is not a given that this will pass both the full floor vote of the Senate and Assembly. It must also first be amended in the Assembly before the Assembly can take a final vote.
