8-23-10 S2208 (Sarlo-Allen prime sponsors) passes 36-0 (4 members 'not voting') in the Senate on 8-23-10
This bill allows certain organizations, including the Garden Staet Coalition of Schools, to file a complaint re: state mandate-state pay, before the Council on Local Mandates. Currently only local governmental units can file a complaint. GSCS is supportive of the bill. In order to become law however, the Assembly still needs to pass an identical bill. The bill is one of the recommendations by the Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno's Red Tape Review Group.
