N.J. school referendums will decide on $293.7M in construction

Residents in nine New Jersey school districts will vote on $293.7 million in construction projects for schools, a report in the New Jersey School Boards Association website said.
About $75 million of the projects would qualify for state funds, through construction grants or rebates through the state's Clean Energy program, the report said.
BERGEN COUNTY
Wood-Ridge:
Proposal 1 -- About $14.9 million in additions and renovations, such as new classrooms, science labs, solar panels and roof repairs. About $3.4 million would be eligible for state funds.
Proposal 2 -- Depending if the first proposal passes, these would be additional renovations worth about $10.3 million, including more new classrooms, window replacements, and electronic upgrades. About $2.8 million would be eligible for state funds.
CAMDEN COUNTY
Pennsauken Township:
Demolish an elementary school, and build a new school, costing $34.7 million. About $2.4 million would be eligible for state funds.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Cumberland Regional:
A $10 million project to replace a roof and install solar panels at the high school. About $3.5 million would be eligible for state reimbursement.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY
Edison Township:
Proposal 1 -- About $137 million in renovations to 13 schools. About $34.7 million would be eligible for state funds.
Proposal 2 -- Build a new elementary school, costing $30 million. About $4.8 million would be eligible for state funds.
OCEAN COUNTY
Jackson Township:
Proposal 1 -- A $7 million project to install solar panels at the high school. About $5.3 million would be eligible for state funds.
Proposal 2 -- About $11.9 million in renovations to information technology and security systems in 10 schools. About $4.8 million would be eligible for state funds.
Proposal 3 -- A $6.7 million project to replace the heating/air conditioning systems at the high school. About $2.7 million would be eligible for state funds.
Proposal 4 -- Installation of an irrigation system at the high school, costing $3.8 million. About $1.5 million would be eligible for state funds.
SUSSEX COUNTY
High Point Regional:
A $13 million project to renovate roofs, windows, doors, labs, athletic facilities, and security systems. About $4.3 million would be eligible for state funds.
Montague Township:
Partial roof replacement and repairs at elementary school, costing about $395,000. About $158,000 would be eligible for state funds.
WARREN COUNTY
Knowlton Township:
About $7.2 million in renovations to the elementary school. About $1.1 million are eligible for state funds.
Washington Borough:
About $6.9 million to renovate two schools. A total of $3.3 million are eligible for state funds.
