Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday will sign an all-important school funding bill that will have a ripple effect on public schools -- and taxpayers -- for years to come.
The bill (S-2) sets New Jersey on the path to redistributing school aid among hundreds of districts and also mandates future tax hikes in some communities.

Twenty-nine states and the District of Columbia need some help from the federal government in meeting the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, according to assessments of state performance released earlier this month by the U.S. Department of Education.
