The Record--Murphy ally's interview with Record accelerates feud with Trenton Democrats

On day 100 of his term, Governor Phil Murphy celebrated with fellow Democrats.

On day 101, Murphy and fellow Democrats resumed their intraparty fighting.

An interview Brendan Gill, a close Murphy ally, gave to this column on Wednesday ignited the latest skirmish in the Trenton Democrats' internal cold war.

Gill said that New Direction New Jersey, a non-profit group he helped form to promote Murphy's agenda, plans to launch a media campaign later this spring to pressure Democratic lawmakers to support Murphy's $34.7 billion budget.
