The phone call came in on a Monday morning from a man who identified himself as Mohammed. His message was chilling: Four bombs had been planted around Tenafly High School.

Tenafly Schools Superintendent Geoffrey Gordon sprang into action.

"The secretary who answered the phone engaged the caller and police were able to determine the credibility of the threat," Gordon said about the September incident. "The high school immediately activated its emergency action plan."

Gordon ordered students and staff to evacuate, and the Bergen County Sheriff's Department bomb squad arrived with bomb-sniffing dogs.
